Cookies and browser storage
Cookie policy · Updated 19 October 2026 · Operator: TASHNAZ · Contact: cc_support@tashnaz.com. In short: no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies here.
In short
This site sets no cookies during normal browsing. It uses your browser’s local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage), a similar technology, so we treat it like cookies: what the site needs to work is always on, and what is there for convenience is kept long-term only with your consent. There are no pixels, analytics tools, targeted ads, fingerprinting or externally hosted fonts.
Essential — always on
cc-consent (localStorage, up to 12 months): remembers your choice in this notice so we don’t ask on every page. cc-result (sessionStorage, until you close the tab): carries a result message after an action you took, such as joining the list. cc-static-story (sessionStorage, until you close the tab): remembers that you paused the homepage motion. cc-deletion-receipt (sessionStorage, until you close the tab): lets you check the status of an account-deletion request you sent. cc-a11y (sessionStorage, until you close the tab): your accessibility-menu settings when you have not allowed preferences.
Preferences — with your consent
cc-a11y (localStorage, until you reset it or withdraw consent): the accessibility settings you chose, such as text size, contrast or stopped animations, so they apply on your next visit too. Without consent the settings still work but are cleared when you close the tab.
Signing in on the account-deletion page
Only if you choose to sign in on the account-deletion page, Google’s Firebase Authentication loads (apis.google.com and chick-chack-4df56.firebaseapp.com). Google or Apple sign-in happens in the provider’s window, which may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We keep the sign-in in page memory only; it does not remain in your browser after you close it. These components do not load anywhere else on the site.
Changing your choice
Change your choice at any time from “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent deletes the long-term accessibility settings. You can also clear site data in your browser settings. We will ask again after 12 months or if this policy changes materially.
Technical information on the server
As with any website, the hosting provider (Google Firebase) receives your IP address and browser information with each request. The website rate limiter stores a hashed (HMAC) identifier rather than raw IP addresses. See the privacy policy for more.
Future changes
If we ever add measurement tools or any non-essential component, it will not run until you allow it, and this policy will be updated. Questions: cc_support@tashnaz.com.
